Steel Girder Bridges

Surespan performed the complete structural steel installation of the kilometer-long, three girder-wide bridge. The bridge had 12 concrete piers exceeding 40 m in height, and two abutments, requiring 81 girders to be installed. Surespan’s in-house engineer designed the temporary works, engineering lift and installation plans. Surespan completed the project in 179 days without incident in weather that included high winds and temperatures as low as -35 degrees Celsius.
