Precast and steel, built to outlast.
Surespan Structures fabricates precast and prestressed concrete and structural steel in Duncan, BC — bridges, panels, floats, and everything in between.
We make heavy
look easy.
Who We Are

Surespan Structures was founded in 1989 for one reason: to guarantee our clients the quality we’d promised, by fabricating it ourselves. We delivered BC’s first steel forestry bridge and our first precast projects early on — and forestry bridges remain something no one in Canada does better.
We’ve grown a long way since. Our shops now turn out over 5,000 tonnes of fabricated steel and thousands of cubic metres of precast a year, driven by our own automated girder welding line — serving every industry from highways to hydro to the open water, through our Surefloat marine division.
OUR WORK IS EVERYWHERE.
Our work is all over BC: architectural precast cladding at SFU’s Surrey campus, the Craigflower Bridge replacement in Victoria, parkades in Kelowna and at UVic, transformer vaults for BC Hydro across the province. Add ferry wharfs, steamship terminal pontoons, fender panels, and pipeline anchor blocks, and the pattern is clear — if it’s heavy and has to last, we build it.

CRAIGFLOWER BRIDGE
Surespan Structures fabricated the steel superstructure for the Craigflower Bridge, a project recognized with the CISC Outstanding Steel Structure Award in 2015. The bridge's distinctive arched steel form reflects Surespan's ability to combine structural performance with architectural presence.
