Surespan carried out site preparation, road, and bridge construction for the Cape Scott Wind Farm. The scope included blasting and developing seven kilometres of road, constructing 22 bridge structures, installing culverts up to 3.3 m in diameter, and constructing a remote concrete batch plant, aggregate storage area, and crane component laydown area. Surespan also prepared all 55 turbine foundation sites, including stripping and grubbing, construction of 25 m × 25 m crane pads, foundation excavation, and backfilling following completion of the concrete foundations. The roads and crane pads were subsequently adjusted to accommodate the two 600-ton assembly cranes used for turbine erection.
