Surespan was the design-build contractor for the construction of the Millstream Creek Bridge, a 21 m, two-lane crossing with sidewalks built as part of a new subdivision development. The foundation consists of twelve 24-inch steel pipe piles driven to bedrock and capped with precast pile caps supporting eleven precast box girders that form the 13.5 m wide bridge. Surespan incorporated utility provisions into the structure for a new watermain and for hydro, communications, and gas services beneath the bridge. The deck was finished with a waterproofing membrane and 100 mm of asphalt paving to match the new roadway.
