Surespan replaced an existing truss bridge with a new horizontally and vertically curved, 57 m single-span steel plate girder bridge and constructed 1.7 km of realigned highway on the approaches. The scope included construction of the new bridge and approach embankments, riprap placement, soft-ground improvements, earthworks, drilling and blasting, drainage improvements, warm-mix asphalt paving, new guiderail, demolition of the existing bridge, removal of the original road alignment, and construction of fisheries offsetting habitat.
