Grey Highlands Wind Project with Capstone Infrastructure
Surespan played a key role in the Grey Highlands Wind Project in McIntyre, Ontario, owned by Capstone Infrastructure. This project involved erecting five Senvion MM92 wind turbines, each with a rated capacity of 2.0 milling watts. Construction began in September 2015 and was completed by December 2015.
Our LG1750 crane, known as “The Bean,” was used for turbine erection. Contracted by CER Inc., we managed the turbine erection and all internal finishing. Upon our completion of the project, Capstone Infrastructure and CER Inc. awarded us four additional wind projects. By February 2017, we completed the offloading, erection, and in-tower work for a total of 32 turbines across five projects.
We are proud to have contributed our efforts towards the long term success of Canada’s green energy. Our specialization in large-scale projects help emphasize our commitment to quality control, project management, and sustainable solutions.
