Gesner Wind Farm: Efficient Wind Turbine Installation and Project Management

The 10 million-watt Gesner Wind Farm, owned by Saturn Power, showcases our expertise in project management and turbine installation. Located in Nova Scotia, this project involved erecting five 90-meter-tall Gamesa wind turbines, each with a 2 million-watt output and innovative aerodynamic blade tips. Built by Valard Electric over seven months in 2012, the wind farm now powers up to 3,500 homes.

For this project, we provided quality assurance (QA) and quality testing (QT) services, MCC completion, and crane coordination. Specialized equipment included an LG1550 crane, we ensured efficient installation up to the completion of the project. Despite a two-week delay caused by Hurricane Sandy’s high winds, our team successfully completed the project without further complications.
