The ground improvement project involved supply and installation of 2,055 treated timber piles and 170m of steel sheet piles. The intent of the project was to provide flood protection within City of Vancouver’s parks area by densifying the subsurface ground and constructing the flood wall. Surespan acted as a Prime Contractor and performed all of the Contract work using its own forces.
