Alexandra Bridge Deck Rehabilitation and Seismic Safety Retrofit, Spuzzum, BC
The BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure awarded the contract for the construction of the Alexandra Bridge Rehabilitation and Seismic Safety Retrofit to Surespan Construction in 2017. Work on the project commenced in March 2017 and is scheduled be completed November 2018. The scope of work consists of:
- Reinforced concrete overlay and deck cantilever
- Abutment modifications and approach slab construction
- Supply and installation of new structural steel work, parapet railings, bearing assemblies, finger joints and expansion joints
- Modification and maintenance recoating of existing structural steel work
- Approach transition paving and other minor works
